Camp Denali Lodge lies in the heart of Denali National Park, beneath the shadow of Mt. McKinley. A small, remote lodge that offers traditional accommodations on family-own land with unparalleled views of Mt. McKinley. One of the only lodges in Denali National Park with views of the peak! Delicious, wholesome meals made with fresh, local ingredients and breads and desserts from our bakery are featured in the dining room. Daily activities have a strong natural history focus including wildlife observations and hikes led by staff naturalists.
Founded in 1951, Camp Denali is Alaska’s original wilderness vacation lodge, which strives to help visitors gain knowledge and appreciation for the natural history of Denali National Park. Owned and operated by the Cole and Hamm Families since 1975, it is Alaska at its best. Accommodations at Camp Denali are individual cabins situated along a ridge with commanding views of Mt. McKinley and other major peaks of the Alaska Range. Each of the 18 cabins (sleeping 1 to 6 people) are furnished with a wood stove, propane lights and hotplate, a water spigot, handcrafted quilts and Alaskan artwork, as well as their own meticulously maintained outhouse. A modern shower facility is located within a 3-7 minute walk from each cabin. The natural history resource center, complete with dissecting microscope, herbarium, library and animal artifacts is available for guest use.
While Camp Denali Lodge may not be for everyone, but if you desire an experience away from the fast pace of urban life and you enjoy the camaraderie of kindred spirits, you will not be disappointed. Choose one of these lodges for the entirety of your stay based on your preferences.
Lodge Excursions
Both Camp Denali and North Face Lodge offer guided excursions with a natural history and educational emphasis. Guided hikes and programs are conducted by knowledgeable staff naturalists, and sometimes even guest lecturers. Hikes include searching for wildlife such as wolves, moose, bears, sheep, caribou, nesting birds and wildflowers. Nightly programs focus on various aspects of Denali's natural and cultural history including birds, mammals, wildflowers, tundra ecology, geology, mountaineering, wilderness, and land management. In addition to guided activities, mountain bikes, canoes and fishing equipment are available for guests to use.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
