Day 1: Arrive Cape Town

Arrive Cape Town, South Africa, on the flight of your choice. Airport assistance will meet you just outside the aircraft and escort you through immigration, baggage collection, and customs. Transfer to your hotel and settle in for the night. 

Day 2: Cape Town City Tour

Explore the "Mother City," Cape Town, South Africa today on a private tour of the city! Visit the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (South Africa's oldest building), Greenmarket Square, the Company Gardens, and Table Mountain. After an exciting morning of discovery you will stop at Bo-Kaap, home to the Cape Malay community. Spend time exploring the cobblestone streets and brightly colored houses before you are dropped off at the Waterfront to take in all the shops and restaurants. Explore the area independently this afternoon.

Day 3: Robben Island

This morning is yours to relax and spend as you would like. Stroll the beaches of Cape Town, go shopping, or explore one of many local attractions in the area. Make your way to the Clock Tower for your 1 PM departure to Robben Island. (You should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your departure time). Upon arrival to the island meet your guide, someone who spent time here during the Apartheid years. Learn about the political climate of the time, witness the harsh conditions prisoners endured, and visit Nelson Mandela's cell, where he spent 18 years as a prisoner. Take the ferry back to the V&A waterfront and enjoy dinner on your own before you make your way back to your hotel.

Day 4: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

Today you visit the beaches Clifton and Camps Bay. Your first stop will be at the Simonstown Naval Base with a visit to Boulders Beach, the African Penguin breeding colony. You will continue to the Cape of Good Hope National Reserve via Chapman's Peak where you will take a cable car to view where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, as well as fantastic views of False Bay. You’ll then head via the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to Hout Bay, driving back to Cape Town along the Atlantic Seaboard, passing the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. Explore the local area independently for dinner.

Day 5: Return Home

  • 1 Breakfast
This morning you transfer back to the Cape Town International Airport for your home. With more time, extend your stay with a safari trip to the Kruger National Park or nearby Victoria Falls.
