Visit Torres del Paine National Park (via shuttle drive from Punta Arenas or public bus and shuttle drive combination from El Calafate). Arrive at EcoCamp, a luxury tent camp built to reduce environmental impact with enormous igloo-shaped tents and luxury Suite Domes. Choose from a daily selection of activities based on your interests and energy level, ranging from easy to tough walks or even bike tours. Hikers can descend to the base of El Paine's huge spires (8 hours roundtrip). The Torres del Paine's most iconic sight is the trio of 9,400-foot granite monoliths formed by immense glacial forces.

Some guests prefer to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of the EcoCamp rather than join guided group excursions. They can take advantage of the Massage Dome and Yoga Dome or relax in the cozy Lounge Dome with a book or binoculars.

Day 1: Torres del Paine National Park

Transfer today into Torres del Paine National Park (via shuttle drive from Punta Arenas or public bus and shuttle drive combination from El Calafate). Arrive at the EcoCamp, a deluxe tent camp of large igloo-shaped tents built to minimize environmental impact while providing a comfortable setting with the luxury Suite Domes. The EcoCamp provides candlelight, feather comforters, composting toilets, and plenty of quiet to enjoy your spectacular surroundings.

A morning excursion to Magdalena Island, home to over 100,000 Magellanic penguins, is an option with an additional cost. This excursion is subject to weather and sea conditions.  Contact us to add this excursion or for details.

Day 2-3: Torres del Paine Exploration

Your time at the EcoCamp is flexible and includes a menu of guided excursions. Choose your day's activities from a daily menu based on your interests and energy level for the day. Options range from easy-paced to strenuous hikes or even cycling tours. Click here for the Excursion list and schedule.

Set off with your guide to travel across the park to Grey Glacier. Along the way, stop to visit the Salto Grande waterfall and take a quick hike (one hour roundtrip) to the Mirador Nordenskjold for stunning views of Los Cuernos and the French Valley. In the afternoon, board the ferry and set off across the Lago Grey.

Hikers can venture to the foot of the gigantic spires of El Paine (8 hours roundtrip). Weather permitting, witness the most famous sight of the Torres del Paine - the three granite monoliths reaching 9,400 feet - a testament to the massive glacial forces that carved them out of the earth.

Some guests prefer to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and tranquillity of the EcoCamp rather than join the guided group excursions. Those guests are more than welcome to take advantage of the Massage Dome and Yoga Dome on the property or kick back in comfort in the cozy Lounge Dome with a good book or binoculars. Horseback riding excursions can also be arranged in advance in lieu of the scheduled Wildlife Safari programming for an additional cost. Your trip planner can assist with horseback riding availability and options. 

Day 4: Return to Santiago

Early this morning, transfer to Punta Arenas for the late afternoon flight to Santiago (must be a flight departing after 2:00 pm from Punta Arenas). 

With a few more days, you can add extensions to the Atacama Desert, Isla Chiloe, a cruise around Tierra del Fuego to Argentina, or rafting in the Lakes District. A transfer can also be arranged from Torres del Paine National Park into Argentina's El Calafate to continue your Patagonia travel adventures.

Spacious, comfortable, and equipped with private bathrooms, Superior Domes are the best choice for trekkers wanting that bit more space and comfort at the end of a long day’s walk. They are the perfect upgrade from a Standard Dome for those doing the 'W' trek and looking for heating, a private bathroom and a more spacious interior. Each Superior Dome has comfortable queen-size or twin beds, a propane heater and a private bathroom with a sophisticated composting toilet. Electricity is very limited inside the domes, meaning hairdryers are not permitted, but laptops and cameras can be charged.

Our most popular and luxurious domes, with heating, private bathrooms and the best views. Decorated in the local Patagonian style and designed after the “leave no trace” dwellings of the ancient Kaweskar tribe, each spacious Suite Dome measures a comfortable 28m²/ 300 ft². It comes with a cozy double bed or twin beds, a private bathroom with hot water and a state-of-the-art composting toilet, a modern low-emission wood stove, a safe box for valuables and locally-made decorations.
