Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal! Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative will welcome you and assist you in transferring to your Hotel in Kathmandu. After some time to rest in the evening, you will be transferred to a traditional Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu for a welcome dinner, a trip briefing, and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will first head to Pashupatinath temple, which is known as the largest Hindu religious complex in Nepal. This complex is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is significant from a spiritual, historical, artistic, and cultural perspective. After lunch, you will travel to Patan Durbar Square, which was located in the medieval royal palace of Patan until the mid-19th century. The area is surrounded by beautiful, imposing monuments that tell stories that recount fascinating, esoteric legends and fascinating historical events. Finally, visit the stupa of Swayambhunath, situated at a vantage point that gives you a good view of the valley. From there, you will have a beautiful view of Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu | Drive to Soti Khola

After breakfast, prepare for an 8- to 9-hour drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola via Arughat, driving through the countryside. Halfway, it will be an off-road drive towards Arughat Bazaar. This place is a major trading center for the local inhabitants of Gorkha. Along the way, you can make stops to break up the long day, but you'll see plenty of beautiful sites from the road as well.

From Arughat, travel by local bus to Sotikhola and stay overnight.

Distance: Approximately 8 hours drive

Day 4: Hike to Khorlabesi

As you travel from Sotikhola to Khorla Bensi, today will be the first day of your trekking activity. After taking in the breathtaking mountain views and terraced farmlands along the Budhi Gandaki River, you will arrive in comfort in Khorla Bensi and stay overnight.

Day 5: Khorlabesi | Hike to Jagat

Today, you will cross through steep sections while walking alongside the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. A huge cliff is visible on both sides, and you'll have to reach the other side via suspension bridges before getting to Jagat. You are now entering the Manaslu Conservation Area, which is a restricted area. Stay overnight at one of the local tea houses nearby in Jagat.

Duration: Approximately 5 - 6 Hours

Day 6: Hike to Deng

Continuing your Manaslu trek to Deng after entering the Manaslu Conservation Area. With quite a natural atmosphere, much like yesterday, trekking through numerous wooden suspension bridges, crossing Budhi Gandaki, and moving ahead with several ascends and descends today will be a good day of trekking. First, you will reach a small settlement called Philim and pass through Ekle Bhati and Deng toward the end of the day. The place is a peaceful village with plenty of lodges. Tonight, spend the night in Deng.

Day 7: Hike to Namrung

Moving on from Deng, travel towards Namrung, a culturally vibrant village that provides profound insights into the Himalayan way of life. Today's trek involves minimal uphill and downhill sections. Today you'll come across a cliff near the Budhi Gandaki River, where local fauna, such as deer, can be spotted. Before reaching the day's lodge, you'll also have the opportunity to visit a serene local Buddhist monastery. Enjoy your overnight stay in Namrung.

Day 8: Hike to Samagaun

On the Manaslu trekking trail to Samagaon today, you will experience beautiful vistas. Passing through the lovely rhododendron forests in Lho, enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Manaslu Himalaya from Shyala. Take in these stunning landscapes, explore local areas, visit monasteries and schools, and finally reach Samagaon by day's end. Your overnight stay awaits in Sama Gaon.

Duration:  Approximately 6 - 7 Hours

Day 9: Samagaun

Your day at Sama Gaon will be dedicated to acclimatization. Start your morning early and challenge yourself with steep ascents toward Birendra Lake. Later, take a few hours for a walk to Pungyen Gompa, offering an up-close view of Manaslu and a monastery visit. This will help your body adapt to higher altitudes, making the most of your second day at Sama Gaon.

Day 10: Hike to Samdo

A comfortable day today; enjoy a short walk towards Samdo. Get insights into local Tibetan-influenced Buddhist culture, tradition, and lifestyle while turning the prayer wheels and witnessing beautiful Mani walls and amazingly built chortens. You will spend the night in Samdo when you get there after just a few hours.

Walking Distance: 8.1 Kilometers / 5.03 Miles
Duration: Approximately 3 - 4 Hours

Day 11: Hike to Dharamsala

Today will also be an easy, comfortable walk from Samdo towards Dharmasala. It is also commonly known as the base camp of Larkya La Pass, which refers to ‘phedi’ in Nepali. Go to bed early this evening because you need to wake up early tomorrow to cross the Larkya La Pass at a height of 5,000 meters. Upon arrival at the local teahouse, enjoy your leisurely dinner, prepare for tomorrow with some energy bars, and rest up. You will spend the night in a local teahouse or mountain lodge in Dharmasala.

Walking Distance: 6.6 Kilometers / 4.10 Miles
Duration: Approximately 4 - 5 Hours

Day 12: Hike to Larke La Pass | Bimthang

Early in the morning, before sunrise, leave the teahouse and head towards Larke La Pass. Trek through steep trails and arrive at the highest point of Larkya La Pass. From this highest pass, the view of Annapurna 2, Cheu Himal, Himlung Himal, and other surrounding peaks is visible with the very close Manasalu Himalaya in the forefront. The view is sure to amaze you. After, descend to Bimthang and enjoy an evening of rest.

Duration: Approximately 8 - 9 Hours

Day 13: Hike to Tilche

The Manaslu Trek's challenging sections are over! Today, descend through culturally rich villages and rhododendron forests that bloom magically during the spring months of March, April, and May. After trekking through fewer ups and more downs across the ridge, you arrive at Tiliche for an overnight stay.

Duration: Approximately 8 - 9 Hours

Day 14: Hike to Syange

Further, you will leave behind Tiliche and arrive at Syange in approximately five to six hours of trekking. Enjoy excellent views of landscapes, forests, and terraced farmlands on the way.

Day 15: Drive to Besisahar

After breakfast, take a 2-hour private transfer from Syange to Besisahar. In the afternoon, you are free to explore Besisahar and stay overnight.

Day 16: Back to Kathmandu

Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu after leaving the Manaslu Mountains. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, enjoy the evening to yourself. 

Day 17: Return Home

Before departing or starting any additional activities, take advantage of today's opportunity for last-minute souvenir shopping for family, friends, or loved ones. You will be transferred to the international airport if you are leaving to catch a flight.
