Arrived in Beijing, toured the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Tian'anmen Square, Drum Tower, Lama Temple, Bell Tower and Chairman Mao's's Mausoleum. Took a great bike ride through the nearby hutongs. Hiked the Mutianyu Great Wall one day and the Jinshanling Great Wall the next day. Two great hikes. Boarded the bullet train for Xi'an and the train was super comfortable and a great ride. While in Xi'an I toured the Terracotta Warriors (the 8th wonder of the world) and than topped the day off with a 8 mile bike ride in the Ancient City Wall. From Xi'an I flew to Lhasa, Tibet. While in Lhasa toured the Potala Palace and the Sera Monastery. This had been my 11th day of hiking, biking and climbing up and down thousands of steps and being in my 74th year it started to take it's toll. My mind still thinks I am 40 but my body knows better and it won. I was coming with a cold and had a bad cough and my next adventure was heading to the North Base Camp of Mt. Everest (17,056ft). That morning at 9:30am I informed my tour guide I was too sick to continue and need to go home, by 1:30pm the same day I was on a plane to Beijing and the next morning on a plane to Boston. I had not anticipated the efficiency that these people worked to get me back home as fast as they did. I had Acute Bronchitis and it would have only gotten worst had I not gotten it treated. Better now and looking forward to going back to China again next year at this time, and I guess you know who is going to plan the trip for me. Adventure Life and I hope they use the same company in Chine again, Everything and I repeat everything was planned out perfectly and they took care of me through ever aspect of the trip and I had a great time and the tour guides were super great. Jessie,Yang and Lha dup. Thanks again Adventure Life. And thanks for the great job with my trip to Peru last June.
I am a returning client to Adventure Life and am very pleased with their commitment to put together a great trip. Clara replied and clarified to any and all questions we had.

Jessica was very responsive to my questions and never balked when I asked her to go back and find more options. She really worked hard to find the right cruise for us.

Adventure Life took care of a lot of details for me because I flew separately and met up with the group at the start of the trip. On the return they dropped me off in Cantania and flew back to the UK as one group.
I was the only American on the Exodus trip which was not a problem. Communication between the two companies was good.

We loved our time aboard the Angel. Beautiful boat and crew. Naturalist Jose Luis was incredible-very knowledgeable and thoughtful. He adapted tours to our group and we all had an amazing trip. Love staying a the quaint hacienda and the recommended activities.
