Stay at the recently refurbished and upgraded Somalisa Camp, located overlooking the Savannah plains along the Kennedy Vlei line. Common areas include multi-level decks, separate lounge area, and small splash pool overlooking a natural waterhole that attracts herds thirsty for a drink. Two game viewing activities are included with each night of your stay.
The camp is comprised of seven sail tents each with twin bed configuration. The tents include sliding gauze doors, wood-burning fireplaces, and overhead fans. Each tent offers en-suite bathroom facilities including flush toilets and indoor and outdoor shower and copper bathtub.
Game Drives - Set out on a game drive with an experienced guide. Whether by day or by night, spot wildlife in an open land cruiser and see what kind of close encounters you might have in Hwange National Park! The transfer from Victoria Falls to Somalisa is conducted as a game drive and lasts about 2 hours.
Walking tour - Set out with a qualified guide for a walk around the immediate property. Experience a safari and up close encounters on foot.
Birdwatching - Set out to see the birdlife of Hwange, known to be home to the biggest diversity of birds than any other National Park in southern Africa.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
