Day 1: Arrive in Antigua | Tikal National Park

Arrive in Antigua and transfer to the airport in Guatemala City. Fly to Flores and transfer to Tikal. At the ruins, encounter the towering pyramids which rise above the thick jungle canopy, and learn how the city thrived as an important religious, scientific, and political center for 1500 years. The forest which engulfs the city is home to howler and spider monkeys, white lipped peccary, brocket deer, coati-mundis, toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, ocelots and the seldom seen jaguar. In the evening, enjoy the Jungle Lodge in Tikal National Park and settle in to your new surroundings, which are ideal for your Guatemala adventure.

Day 2: Free Morning | Return to Guatemala City

Spend an unguided morning in the ruins of Tikal before transferring to Flores for your flight back to Guatemala City. The evening is yours to explore this capital city.

Day 3: Return Home

  • 1 Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading to the airport for your journey home. Alternatively, head off to meet the rest of your tour! Note: transfer to the airport is not included, but can be arranged at an additional cost.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
