Experience a wealth of wildlife viewing opportunities on your Zimbabwe safari with a stay at Zambezi Sands situated inside Zambezi National Park. Relax in a private splash pool on your deck overlooking the landscape of the Zambezi River and her wildlife. Observe elephant, hippo, bushbuck, and waterbuck along the river banks. Listen for the lions calling and observe the myriad of birdlife that thrives along the water's route.

The tents and main lodge are all built on raised platform with river views and private sun decks. Eight bedouin luxury tents all offer private splash pools on the deck, are dotted along the river bank. Each tent offers two twin beds, lounge area, mini-bar, private en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, and electricity provided by generator.

Activities at Zambezi Sands

Sunset Cruise - Cruise out on the Zambezi River and explore the nearby tiny islands. Enjoy snacks and drinks while you spot for wildlife along the river's banks. Commonly seen species incude elephant, hippo, crocodile, and varied birdlife.

Game Drives - Hop into a traditional open top safari vehicle and spot game with a licensed professional guide. Land Cruisers seat up to 9 guests,and Land Rovers seat up to 7.

Game Walk - Set out with a licensed guide for a walk, typically in the morning, to spot for wildlife and photography opportunities when the sunlight is at its best.

Canoeing - Go for a canoe ride through the Zambezi River's network of islands close to camp. Paddle through hippo and crocodile-infested waters and observe the abundant birdlife. A picnic lunch at an island is also an option.

Fishing - Try your hand at some guided fishing in the Zambezi River. Tigerfish and other species are common catches.
